CAM Community School District is a small district with a big passion for educating all students.  Comprising two buildings in two separate towns, the district embraces a family approach and works with outside service providers, non-profit organizations, and businesses to ensure that each student has what they need to succeed.  

 

Believing in positive behavioral supports, quality instruction, and matching tiers of intervention to student data, our smaller class size allows us to individualize instruction and ensure that students progress academically and socially.  Our CTE courses offer hands-on practice, and we are continually building connections with our business partners to bring learning into real-world environments.  

 

I am exceedingly proud to lead this district of educators who bring their motto to life every day.  We are a team and a family.

I’m Mrs. Shannon Almelien, proud to serve as principal with over 25 years of experience in education. I’m passionate about creating a school where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.

At CAM, we believe in Team and Family—working together to build strong relationships, foster academic success, and create a positive, inclusive environment for all.

This year, our goal is simple: to level up. That means raising expectations, strengthening connections, and helping every student and staff member grow personally and academically.

I am honored to be the principal here at CAM Elementary and to be in a district that is dedicated to academic excellence and inclusive learning.
