Cougars Remain Undefeated

The Cougars played Coon Rapids-Bayard on Friday, October 8, after beating the Crusaders 82-22 leaving the Cougars 7-0 on the season. The first quarter started by the Crusaders being forced to punt and the Cougars scoring multiple touchdowns, with the Cougars’ offensive line dominating upfront. The Crusaders managed to score two touchdowns in the first quarter making the score 54-14. During the second quarter, the Cougars continued to play hard and scored three more touchdowns. Pushing the score at halftime was 74-14

The Cougars received to start the second half and waved for a fair catch at the 28-yard line. The Cougars put in Gabe Rouse as the ball carrier and he rushed for 30 yards and scored a touchdown, with a two-point conversion making the score 82-14. In the fourth quarter, the Crusaders managed to score another touchdown making the final score 82-22, leaving the Cougars with another win. The Cougars’ next game is Friday, October 15, at Dunlap facing the Boyer Valley Bulldogs, who are currently 4-3 on the season. Good luck to the Cougars in the last regular-season game. The first playoff game will be on October 22.
