NHS Inducts New Members

The NHS ceremony happened on April 14th and went pretty swimmingly. The guest speaker for the ceremony was Cindy Nichols. She spoke to the members about what it means to be an honorable person and how we can be more upright in our daily lives. After Mrs. Nichols was finished with her rousing speech, the induction ceremony took place, where the senior members recited the four aspects of The National Honor Society. The senior members delivered points about the qualities. These include Scholarship, which was detailed by Mallarie Peach and Cadence Stephenson, Service was delivered by JoAnn Brahms and Carlee South. Character was presented by Emily Plagman and Zoey Baylor, while Leadership was recited by Whitney Holaday and Ella Gundy. Bionca Wendt then led the new and existing NHS members in the National Honor Society Pledge.

Due to COVID-19, they were unable to hold a banquet and induct new members. The 12 students who would have been inducted during the 2019-2020 school year are, Marissa Spieker, Jeremy Kopp, Mallory Behnken, Paige Jensen, Abigail Follmann, Logan Lawrence, Ethan Arp, Wyatt Gettler, Walker Gettler, Connor McKee, Lane Spieker, and Cade Ticknor. The eight members who were inducted for the 2020-2021 years were, Kylie Alff, Joe Kauffman, Mady McKee, Maddie Holts, Grace Hensley, Cale Maas, Corbin Peach, and Sydney Becker. Once the induction ceremony was finished, pictures were taken of both the new and existing members. Congratulations, to all who were involved.
