Cougars Earn Basketball Awards

The CAM Girls Basketball Team celebrated a great season at the awards banquet on March 22. The coaches shared in a brief celebration, giving out awards and praising the many wonderful athletes and managers that they worked with this season. Assistant coach Brian Fogleman commented, “We wish our seniors well in their future endeavors and thank them for their hard work and dedication. The underclassmen's work starts right now, if we want to meet the expectations we have placed on ourselves.” 

Senior Zoey Baylor received MVP, most rebounds, was selected to play the All-Star senior game in Cedar Rapids, and 2nd Team All Rolling Valley Conference. SeniorMolly Venteicherreceived the Iron Woman Award for taking the most charges and Honorable Mention All Rolling Valley Conference. Senior Carlee South received the Coaches Award. Junior Grace Hensley got the award of Scout Team Player of the Year and junior Mallory Behnken received the Windex Woman award for the most blocks. Sophomore Abby Tibken received Most Improved and Bree Bower got JV MVP. Freshman Kiera Nichols got Most Hustler and freshman Meredith Rich received 6th Lady of the Year and Honorable Mention All Rolling Valley Conference. Another freshman, Eva Steffensen, received Precision Passer, Outstanding Freshman, and 1st Team All Rolling Valley Conference.
