Freshman Spotlight

Rylan Oglesbee is this week’s freshman spotlight. Rylan lives in a family of four with his brother, Reese, his mom, Angela, and his dad, Steve Oglesbee. His biggest fear coming into high school was probably being able to manage his time well, and do his homework. Throughout the beginning of the 1st semester he found that as something he shouldn't stress about. The thing that really excited him about high school was being able to see his friends that he hadn't seen since March, when everything got shut down. Rylan saw a few of them over the break, but some he didn't see at all. One of the things he has seemed to enjoy throughout school is carpentry and anything that is based around it. That is one of the things he has thought about the most compared to other things. Rylan feels like the biggest change from middle school to high school is how the blocks in high school are way longer than what they were in middle school. The easiest thing for him to adjust to would be the scheduling of the classes. The hardest thing for him to adjust to is how long the blocks are. He doesn’t really have a favorite lunch; he will eat mainly anything. We wish you the best of luck throughout high school!
