Computers have been distributed to grades 3-5th at CAM North Elementary which has made the learning process a little easier for both teachers and students during these difficult times. Administration and staff are holding zoom meetings weekly to get updates on the school year as well as develop ideas for future learning, constantly brainstorming ideas for the opening next fall and to put in a plan that is safe and a flexible environment to meet every student’s needs.  Pre-School sign up has been communicated through email, website, social media and local media outlets for the next school year.  New teachers have been hired at the North Elementary and South Elementary buildings to replace those that resigned.  Mr. Giegerich has been working on developing a virtual graduation to honor the senior class of 2020 and continues to work with staff and students on continuous learning.

Superintendent Paul Croghan requested the board consider moving the June meeting back a week to June 15th to accommodate the vacation requested of Lindsay Jahde.  This would help with additional time to prepare bills.  Much time has been spent watching webinars on “Return to Learn” and “safely reopening” school.  Plans are to be submitted by July 1st with the ability to adjust after the plans have been submitted. The public hearing for the 2020-2021 certified budget was re-published due to the published budget not appearing as submitted due to technology altered figures. Requests to move on the pay school were received from Haley Wollum and Beth Rondeau. It was recommended these be approved by the board with the stipulation that the proper paperwork has been received. Lunch prices/fee schedule will remain the same with the exception of the adult lunch price being increased from $3.75 to $3.85 to meet mandated minimum.

The health report was approved as submitted.

Board members agreed graduation was very well done and noted the students had a little give and take, missing out on some traditional things but receiving some extra recognitions through the virtual ceremony.  The board adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
