Cougars Building Momentum


The Cougars started off this two-game week by traveling to Glidden to take on the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats. The Cougars were able to take care of business, winning this one 66-54. They had three players in double digits, led by Lane Spieker with 15 points, and Ethan Arp and Jacob Holste with 13 each. Holste also added on three assists and three steals. After their victory at Glidden, they ventured to Stanton to take on the 13-1 Vikings. The Cougars fought off a late Stanton comeback to come out on top 51-49. The Cougars were led by Nate Henlsey with 14 points, and dropped a team season high with four three-pointers. Ben Tibken added ten points and eight rebounds. Connor McKee also added ten points and seven rebounds. The Cougars next three games will be at Woodbine Tuesday, and then back to back home games Thursday and Friday, as they take on Audubon and Exira-EHK. Make sure you come and support our Pink Out game Friday against the Spartans. Good job and good luck Cougars!!
