The CAM Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) group, along with some kids from the CAM Student Council, traveled to the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska to deliver gifts. Small groups of these students put together gift bags that included different items like deodorant, blankets, gloves, etc. collected from our community. The students went in the morning of December 19th and were separated into groups and went to different floors to visit with the veterans at the hospital. Each person went into their rooms to talk to these different men and women and they held conversations about when and where the veteran had served. After getting to know each other, the students would ask if they wanted to pray with or for them. Once all of the gift bags were given away, some candy was leftover so everyone passed out chocolate. Overall, it was a great experience to get to know these Veterans and these students will take this with them for a long time.
