Cougars Come Up Short in Homecoming Battle

The Cougars played their homecoming game last Friday against the Tigers from Woodbine. The game ended in a score of 20-30 in favor of Woodbine. The Cougars got on the board first, with a 16 yard rushing touchdown from Mitchell Williamson.  The first half was a back-and-forth battle with the Cougars going into halftime leading 14-12. Isaac Bower, Nate Hensley, and Mitchell Williamson each had one rushing touchdown on the night for the Cougars. Isaac Bower also had a fumble recovery to help keep the Cougars in the game. Isaac had 127 yards rushing on the night, which led the team, while Preston Murphy led the team in receiving yards with 62. The Cougars came up with two interceptions, one from Isaac, and one from Ethan Arp. The Cougars play Boyer Valley in Dunlap on Friday, October 5, for a week seven matchup with the Bulldogs.
