The shooters this year in order from seniors to fourth grade: Makenna Lilly, Alexis Karns, Tyler Comes, Brandon Whestphalen, Lane Thomsen, Ethan Steffenson, Karter Hilpipre, Zane Lilly, Seth Stephenson, Bionca Wendt, Connor Alff, Anna DeWitt, Logan Eilts, Brady Goetz, Micheal Maas, Dawson Muller, Eyon Steffenson, Ty Eblen, Brett Dreager, Dalton Reed, Korben Brunt, Brylee Samples, Javin Smith, Brandon Raasch, Kaden Herr, Austin Eblen, Creighton Kinzie, and more come. The coaches for the 2018 season are Gary Miller, Chuck Kinzie, Paul Upmeyer, Cliff Aupperle, Corey Stephenson, Brook Lilly, and Rich Lilly. The shooting team is based on trap shooting, sporting clays, and skeet. Trap shooting is where you shoot as an individual and/or ‘squad’ in five different locations that you shoot at five times and then switch. Sporting clays is a variety of different locations with multiple ways for clay birds to be thrown and normally two fly out at a time. Skeet is a mixture of both trap and sporting clays. It has different heights of how the clays are thrown and various spots to shoot from. In all of these events you prepare your self and your shotgun, then yell, “PULL” which throws the bird out into the air. You then find the bird, cover it with your barrel, pull the trigger, and follow through. The CAM Shooting Team is already doing fundraisers, which will lead to our very own shooting complex so we can host events and have a nice practice facility. The shooting team is currently selling Croix Valley barbeque rubs, sauces, seasonings, and marinades. You can contact any team member or coach to order!
