On Friday, the Cougars played the Wolverines for the final Cougar home game of the 2017-18 season. The Cougars played without starter Nick Holste due to illness. A close matchup between the two teams resulted in a nail biting finish, but ended with a Cougar victory.

The Cougars started the first half with a 19-15 score at the end of the first. But a Wolverine comeback in the second put the Wolverines up by three at halftime with a score of 33-30. The Cougars were ready in the third as they took the lead back from the Wolverines after scoring 20 points in the third quarter. The Wolverines were able to score 20 points in the fourth quarter, but the Cougars scored 22 to pull away with an exciting victory heading into Districts. The Cougars scored 44 points in the second half.

Thomas Hensley had a great last home game ending with a double-double after scoring 32 points and collecting 14 rebounds. Ben Tibken scored 10 points for the Cougars and collected seven rebounds.
