Zion dates for Freshman: Meeting during both seminars in the vocal room

Six meetings: December 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, and 15

Students, stay on the PBIS "nice" list from Monday Dec. 4 to Wednesday,

Dec. 20th and you will receive benefits galore during Brain Bowl of Friday,

Dec. 22nd.  No unexcused tardies, absences, zeros, 9th hour study halls, or any minor or major referrals.  You will be notified when you have been removed from the nice list and reminded the day before Brain Bowl.

Students who are in IWCC this (Fall) semester, please drop your books off in the High School office IMMEDIATELY upon the completion of your course.  Lost, or unreturned books, will be billed to your parents if not turned in to the office ASAP.

Students interested in taking driver's education need to sign up in the office, fill out the necessary forms and return them with a copy of your learner's permit, by the end of break.  Cost of the class is $350 full price, $335 reduced price and those eligible for free lunches is no cost.  Please sign up, get the documents and bring them into the office as soon as you can before break.  Classes will be held between January 4th and the 18th at CAM High School, and driving times will be determined at the first meetings.  Questions can be directed to Deluxe Driving Academy at 712-210-0126

Cumberland Area High School Students

Thanks to all who completed the youth survey about your town and possible future programs or improvements.  Just a reminder that we need to get all the parent surveys returned by December 8th.  (I handed these out right before Thanksgiving break.)  If you have misplaced yours, please ask me for another one.  We'd like to hear suggestions from your parents as well.  Completed adults surveys can be returned the high school office or left at various businesses in Cumberland. Thanks for your help with this project!  Mrs. Brown

Southwest Iowa R.E.C. will send one student to Washington, D.C. to participate in the NRECA’s Youth Tour. The program is intended to educate students about Electric Cooperatives, American history and US government. It also encourages leadership and engagement as a U.S. citizen. If you are interested, please stop by the office for more information.
