The Anita CSD and C & M CSD are running just one driver’s education program this year beginning Monday, March 15 2010.  Classes will run through March, April and into May and preliminary schedule has been set where classes will alternate weeks in Anita and Massena.

Please call or have your student sign up at the high school or the middle school by the end of the day Friday, March 12th.  If you have any questions call Linda Haves at the high school at 712-762-3231 or Peg Hensley at the Middle School 779-2212.

“There used to be a session in Anita in the spring and Massena in the late spring/early summer,”  CAM High School Principal Dominic Giegerich said.  “The numbers are not there to keep offering the summer program so the districts are combining to offer one program.”

The activity shuttle will be able to get students to classes that start at 5:15 no matter the district, but transportation from the school afterwards is up to the parents.  There is also a weekly Wednesday morning class that runs from 6:55 to 7:55 a.m.

“Parents will need to get students to the Wednesday morning class and our busses will leave at 8 a.m. to transport them to Massena or Anita as needed,”  Giegerich added.

Cost of the class is $250 and not refunded if the student fails or drops out of the course.  Those on reduced meals will pay $190 and those on free are not obligated to pay the tuition fee.

The letter given to students eligible in the high school is attached to this story.
